“We came here with the goal of getting into the lead of the Canadian Championship, but with Travis here I knew it was going to be very strong competition. At the end to win the rally, and beat these guys is just perfect.” – Antoine L’Estage

Team Vision X’s Subaru Rally Team Canada Beats Powerhouse Travis Pastrana of Subaru Rally Team USA:

Friday, December 2nd, 2016

Subaru Rally Team Canada (SRTC) was well represented against the “big budget” threat from SRTUSA, with Antoine L’Estage performing on cue and the car performing flawlessly, ticking perfectly on step while being flogged to its maximum on the difficult, most demanding rally stages in North America. We expected Travis to out-accelerate Antoine on the fast stages due to his engine / car advantage, but we also expected Antoine to utilize his local experience and technical driving skills on the highly specialized stages to balance out the massive budget mis-match vs STRUSA.

“Antoine and SRTC dominated the event, throwing down a big massive run at the beginning and controlling the lead from the beginning, and he never looked back.”

A perfect rally for Antoine, and a perfect rally for Subaru, completing a podium sweep for the manufacturer at the most challenging rally for reliability and “keeping it on the road” in North America. As a team, Rocket Rally entered the event with 4 cars –SRTC with Antoine at the helm;our two in-house developed 2016 Open Class Subaru Crosstrek’s (driven by David Nickel and Brandon Semenuk respectively) and a customer R2 Fort Fiesta piloted by Jason Bailey who took the 2wd Production Championship at this event.

With only 9 cars completing this punishing rally, all 4 our Rocket Rally cars made it to the finish, thus demonstrating Rocket Rally’s ability to deliver fast, reliable cars, managed by the best crews and drivers in our space.Antoine’s performance at Tall Pines made the manufacturer’s championship a virtual lock for Subaru, and has finally put him and Darren Garrod now in the lead for the Driver’s and Co-driver’s championships, with one more event on the calendar in two weeks at Big White.
